Recovery Run

A sustained effort along the river, run at the pace that sits right on the edge of comfortable. It's the kind of run that quietly makes race day feel easier, finished before most of the city has had its first coffee.

Trail Run

Some weeks call for miles that matter less than the people beside you. An unhurried 5K that ends, as it should, at a table with good coffee or something colder — the run where new faces become familiar ones.

A few things people ask us

A few things people ask us

Everything people ask us before joining River Region Runners

Do I need to be fast to join?

Not at all — we run in pace groups, so there's always company at your speed.

How much does it cost to join?

Not at all — we run in pace groups, so there's always company at your speed.

Can I bring a friend along?

Please do. So many of our members joined because someone brought them along first.

Do you meet on public holidays?

Most of them, with any changes posted ahead of time so nobody turns up to an empty meeting point.

Can I come watch before deciding to join?

Of course — come meet everyone first, no pressure to run until you're ready.
